GIVE WITH JOY

Each of you must give as you have made up your mind, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver. - 2 Corinthians 9:7

Pledge

A commitment to give one's time, talents, and money as an expression of faith and a personal response to God's generosity. Parish members are encouraged to make an annual stewardship pledge. This pledge represents their specific Christian commitment to “work, pray, and give for the spread of the kingdom of God” (BCP, p. 856). Parish budgets are prepared in light of the pledges received from the members. A pledge is a statement of intent, not a legal obligation. It can be changed at any time.

Is God calling you to pledge today?

2024 Stewardship Campaign - “The Feast of Faith”

The Feast of Faith

Blessed is anyone who will eat bread in the kingdom of God! - Luke 14:15b

Our 2024 Stewardship Campaign, running from November 5th to 19th, plays a pivotal role in shaping the budget for the upcoming year. We are invited to faithfully review what we currently give and prayerfully discern how much God is calling us to pledge in the new year. A stewardship campaign unfolds in the context of God’s generosity and is not merely an appeal for money. The ministry and mission of the church depends on the gifts that God’s people bring to the feast of faith.

An old Irish proverb suggests that laughter is brightest in the place where food is. At St. Andrew’s Episcopal Church in Farmers Branch we love to laugh and we love food. Our traditions include a monthly potluck on the 1st Sunday and our #LunchBunch crew dining at a local restaurant on the 3rd Sunday. The food, fellowship and fun we share as a faith community is what makes these moments special. Our 2024 Stewardship Campaign theme is - “The Feast of Faith”.

At the feast of faith there is always enough food for the soul. No one is excluded from the table of faith, for all saints who hunger and thirst for righteousness will find their fill (Matthew 5:6). Blessed is anyone who will eat bread in the kingdom of God (Luke 14:15b).

Everyone has a choice on how to do church; but as for us, we choose to celebrate the one faith and share our love in the one feast. Therefore, bring your gift to the feast of faith and know that not only does God love a cheerful giver, but those who give from the abundance of their heart will be given even more by the giver of all good things.

To God be the glory now and forever. Amen.
