Fr. Thomas was born in Lubbock, Texas but raised in Dallas, Texas. He was ordained on July 4, 1999 as a Priest in the Malankara Mar Thoma Syrian Church. The Mar Thoma Church is an Indian Christian denomination based in the state of Kerala in India. It is a member of the Saint Thomas Christian community and traces its roots back to the arrival of the Apostle Thomas in India in the 1st century AD. The Mar Thoma Church is considered to be one of the ancient Christian communities in India, and has a rich history and cultural heritage. It follows the Syrian liturgical tradition and has a unique blend of Indian and Syrian cultures and practices. Today, the Mar Thoma Church has a large following in India and around the world, with many parishes and missions in various countries.

Fr. Thomas has a solid foundation in Anglican theology, history, and worship. He has undergone diverse theological training covering a range of subjects, including biblical studies, systematic theology, church history, liturgy and worship, and pastoral care. Fr. Thomas has a deep understanding of the Anglican tradition, and in 2020 had his Priestly orders received by The Episcopal Church. Fr. Thomas began his ministry at St. Andrew’s Episcopal Church in Farmers Branch on April 16, 2021.

Fr. Thomas and his wife Rachel were married on November 6, 1999. They have 3 wonderful children: Isaiah(21), Faith (19), & Jeremiah (13). The Thomas family has a golden doodle named Lucky (3) who is feisty, funny and full of energy. Fr. Thomas and his family are passionate about outreach, and strive to #EnjoyTheFellowship with all of God’s children. Fr. Thomas is a big fan of the World Series Champions Texas Rangers, five-time Super Bowl Champions Dallas Cowboys, and the 2011 NBA Champion Dallas Mavericks.
